I wuv cupcakes


Let's find the ultimate chocolate cupcake recipe. If you have any suggestions, let me know in the comments section below. I'm looking for something simple, chocolate-y, and moist. That's all I ask!

This is my standard chocolate cake recipe but it works for cupcakes too. Measurements are European, but I see you lived in Paris, so you should be okay:

220 g flour
150 g granulated sugar
150 g butter
3 medium eggs (or 2 extra large)
200 g chocolate (dark or milk)
1 t vanilla
2 t baking powder (I use those little packets of baking yeast that you can buy over here, and assume the are the equivalent of 2 t)
pinch of salt
milk

Preheat oven to 350.
Melt chocolate and butter together. Cream together with sugar, vanilla. Add eggs and salt, then flour and baking powder. Slowly pour in milk and mix until you have a soft moussy batter.

Pour in cupcake mold and bake until done.
